The trace of an impact and a timeline. An attempt to stop a rushing picture. A two
dimensional archive becomes a three dimensional one. Moment or material.
The silence of a bubble or the noise of a crash. Vacuum vs. explosion, empathy vs.
sensation and chaos vs. pile. In the vague hope that everything will be ok.
Andrea is researching the subject of impact with its liquid borders of chaos and order mainly
inside of sculptures and sometimes drawings or text. Her starting point are mostly images
from the news that she tries to bring into a three dimensional understanding and reality. She
does not take photos of her sculptures.

After working as a graphic designer between 2000 and 2012 in Munich, Berlin and
Cornwall/UK, she graduated in Fine Arts (DOGtime) at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam
in 2016.

Andrea used to be Teamleader for Homeland BosLeeuw and is now organising the
Zondagstraat in the Kolenkit.
