Bookstore Space presents a solo exhibition by artists Thomas Marcusson.
Thomas Marcusson is an interactive and online artist mostly known for his work that talks about identity, culture, participation and surveillance. In this solo exhibition he presents three works: “Visions”, a video installation displaying the eyes of the world leaders as a way to point out the current state of technological capabilities for surveillance. “The Worryball”, an interactive sculpture, that consists of more than 6000 individual Guatemalan worry dolls, woven into a spherical shape. The Worryball broadcasts real recorded worries from various participants from around the world through an internal speaker. And “This Heart of Ice”, a video that shows a beating, melting heart made of ice, alluding to 'the fragile existence and vitality of ice in a world where the polar ice caps are slowly diminishing through a cyclical process'.
